Product Description Marketing:
Sunfast Exterior Wood Finish Satin is the ultimate transparent, amber coloured exterior wood finish developed to provide excellent durability for exterior vertical wood surfaces such as log homes, siding, doors, trim, and fences. This product has been formulated with ultraviolet absorbers which protect the wood from fading and cracking and is impervious to moisture which prevents water staining, mildew and fungus growth. Sunfast Exterior Wood Varnish meets the requirement of Environmental Canada's VOC regulations under Category #33.

Surface preparation:
Surface preparation is important. All surfaces must be smooth, clean, dry, and free of mildew, grease, soap film, sanding dust, or other contaminants. Remove all loose or peeling material from previously painted surfaces. Wash all surfaces with a solution of 3 tablespoons of phosphate-free TSP in a gallon of warm water. Rinse thoroughly, allow to dry, and then scuff sand using 80–120 grit sandpaper on a hand sander. Remove all sanding dust. Do not apply at temperatures below 10˚C (50˚F).
WARNING! If you scrape, sand, or remove old lead paint from any surface, you may release lead dust. LEAD IS TOXIC. Exposure to lead dust can cause serious illness, such as brain damage, especially in children. Pregnant women should also avoid exposure. Wear a NIOSH-approved respirator to control lead exposure. Carefully clean up with a wet mop or HEPA vacuum. New or Bare Wood (Exterior): Sand or chemically remove mill glaze to expose fresh wood cells prior to applying paint or stain.
