Product Description Marketing:
Flex-Hide® Elastomeric Acrylic is a hybrid product featuring the excellent flexibility, build and bridging properties of an elastomeric with the good wetting and easy working properties of a standard acrylic latex. This product has higher build capabilities and is able to penetrate and fill small "bug holes" and small cracks in tilt-up concrete. Flex-Hide® Elastomeric Acrylic has excellent alkali resistance for application to new concrete and superior weather resistance for long-term performance. This product is low in VOCs and meets Environment Canada's requirement under Catergory #52.

Surface preparation:
Surface preparation is important. All surfaces must be smooth, clean, dry, free of mildew, grease, soap film, waxes, curing compounds, form release agents (bond breakers) or other compounds that may interfere with coating adhesion. A pressure wash at a minimum 1500 p.s.i. is recommended as a surface preparation. Concrete must have cured for a minimum 28 days and be free of any surface moisture and be at pH 8.5 or less. Two coats are recommended to achieve a pin-hole free film with maximum crack bridging characteristics. Do not apply at surface or air temperatures below 10˚C (50˚F). or at Relative Humidties greater than 85%. Keep Product from Freezing.

Recommended Primers:
Pre-Painted Surfaces: Self-priming on properly prepared pre-painted surfaces. Wash with a solution of 3 tablespoons of phosphate-free TSP in a gallon of warm water. Rinse thoroughly, allow to dry, and then scuff sand using 80–120 grit sandpaper on a hand sander. Remove all sanding dust.
New or Bare Wood (Exterior): For new wood, use Prime Solution Alkyd Stain Blocking Primer 15130 or Prime Solution Latex Stain Blocking Primer 05130.
Masonry: Use Cloverdale Latex Block Filler (05700) or apply two self-priming coats directly to masonry surfaces.
Drywall: Not recommended.
Ferrous Metals (Steel, Iron): Use a suitable anti-corrosive primer such as Cloverdale Ecologic® Rustex Primers (70324).
