  • Product Description Marketing:

    A clear urethane modified finish for use on new or previously stained interior wood. This product features excellent toughness and adhesion combined with good resistance to filtered sunlight to provide a high degree of protection to interior wood surfaces. This product is easy to apply and can be re-coated over itself in as little as 2 hours. Timberlox Interior Water-borne makes an excellent clear coat over stained surfaces or can be toned with small amounts of colourant to make a varnish-stain. As a water-based product it has low odour, is non-flammable and meets all relevant standards for solvent or VOC emissions. It is an environmentally friendly product with soap and water cleanup and has much faster dry times than solvent based products.

  • Surface preparation:

    Surface preparation is important. All surfaces must be smooth, clean, dry, free of mildew, grease, soap film, sanding dust or other contaminants. Remove all loose or peeling material from previously-painted surfaces. Wash all surfaces with a solution of 3 tablespoons of (Phosphate-free) TSP in a gallon of warm water. Rinse thoroughly, allow to dry and then scuff sand using 80-120 grit sandpaper on a hand sander. Remove all sanding dust. Do not apply at temperatures below 10˚C (50˚F).
